Loving father of Mark Cymerman, Lisa Roth (Chad), Scott, Dan, Karen, Matthew Cymerman. Brother of Andrew (Arlene), John (Larissa), Paul (Anne) Cymerman. Proud Grandpop of Janalyn and Karalyn Roth. • Michael Szporer, APAC Founder, and Founder of SIEC (Polish-American

network) electronic bulletin with over 3000 subscribers, and currently

Collegiate Professor of English and Communications, University of Maryland

University College. He was awarded three Fulbright Fellowships and two IREX

Fellowships for advanced research in France, Poland, Macedonia, the USSR,

and Lithuania. As Washington Director of the Foundation for Free Speech, he

was an advisor to the Solidarity Union (Solidarnosc) leadership. His Great

August: Twenty-one Conversations with Solidarity, is forthcoming from

Pennsylvania State University Press, in August 2005.
